This kobalt hedge trimmer at 80v and a 3/4 inch cutting capicty is fit for any kind of work Its got a highly efficient brushless motor that provides more torque and is claimed to have a longer motor life. While it is heavy with the big 80v battery it is very well-balanced and well able for tougher jobs around the garden of farm like cutting through brambles and heavy bushes. kobalt also do a 40v version if you are only going to do lighter work.

The 80v kobalt should give you over an hour run time with a 2ah battery and will fully recharge in around half an hour. It has a 26-inch blade that cuts at 3600 strokes per minute. The handle can rotate and lock at up yo 90 degrees which is handy for difficult and hard to reach places kobalt offer a 5 year warranty and have a good range of other tools to share batteries with. This is a perfect hedge trimmer for hard work and at the price one of the best out there.

The worx cordless hedge trimmers are easy to handle light weight but powerful enough for all the smaller jobs around the yard the you will love this. Your not gonna cut trees down with this, but works fine on smaller hedges up to a half inch thick.

Battery just takes a little to long to charge so a second one would be nice if you have a bit of work to do. The sheath it comes looks really cheap. Otherwise I would recommend it. The battery lasts for a good 30 minutes. It works great for the smaller bushes, but not made for the bigger limbs. For the price its a good hedge trimmer for small to medium jobs.

The oregon battery hedge trimmer is deceptively powerful given how quiet it is.  much lighter than a gas hedge trimmer yet it was extremely sharp and smooth. The weight is well balanced and comfortable to operate. The trigger is pressure sensitive to help conserve battery life but still operates at full power. Oregon says that the charge with this particular battery should last an hour but that the amount of work that can be accomplished was worth two hours with a competing hedge trimmer. This particular trimmer can handle branches up to 3/4 inch diameter and at 40 volts has plenty power too.

The ego power hedge trimmer makes trimming bushes and hedges a breeze.  At 56 volts it had plenty of power and the razor sharp edges making the job easy. Its a little heavy but that is more than made up for by how easy it is to work . The ego power has 4.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon with lots of glowing reviews. If you want a powerful reliable tool to get the job done this is the one to go for you wont regret it.

The poulan pro cordless hedge trimmer seems to be very well made and heavy duty at a reasonable price. It is best suited for medium work and will cut branches up to a half inch thick. Most seem very happy with the poulan pro hedge cutter saying that it has exceeded their expectations . The only problem was the few people that did have problems were not happy with the customer service they received. They felt the the warranty that was offered was not covered when the trimmer stopped working which is why this couldn’t get a higher rating .

The makita cordless hedge trimmers are well balanced, easy to operate and manipulate, and cut cleanly and efficiently, with sufficient power and cutting ability for applications around most yards. It will get a lot done with a single 3-ah battery with power to spare and you can also get a spare 5ah battery if you want. Although well-built, it is relatively light that the 18v version would enough for most yard or garden work unless you want to get the 36v model. Works well but doesn’t go crazy fast. It is really only for small to medium jobs like cutting twigs and its good for shaping. If you’re looking to really take out branches in your hedges then perhaps the 36v would be better. But for general maintenace it works well. Plus it’s not that heavy at all.

The dewalt cordless trimmers live up to all the 5 star reviews and are perfect for light to medium work. The trimmer and battery are tip notch. The sharp blades slice through 1/2″ and less limbs with ease. . The blades are razor sharp and it’s long enough to reach some harder-to-get areas. It has a run time of over 40 minutes without a decrease in the battery power.

The 20v is plenty powerful enough. Build quality is what you would expect from DEWALT.  The fit and finish of the tool is typically DeWalt…perfect. If you want MAX trimming, then get the Dewalt 20 volt MAX trimmer and never be sorry to do the gardening again!

The black and decker 40v hedge trimmer slash electric fence trimmer! It can have more than one purpose.Perfect for heavy duty gardening or farm jobs that require dependable tools, battery life is great, by the time the battery wears out you will be ready for a break! This has plenty of power for anything you can throw at it. Smooth running trimmer that does a good job.

The downside is a lot of reviewers have complained of the units burning out after time but it still gets 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon reviews.
