Kobalt hedge trimmer 80v

Draft Created: October 30, 2019

My Rating 10/10

This kobalt hedge trimmer at 80v and a 3/4 inch cutting capicty is fit for any kind of work Its got a highly efficient brushless motor that provides more torque and is claimed to have a longer motor life. While it is heavy with the big 80v battery it is very well-balanced and well able for tougher jobs around the garden of farm like cutting through brambles and heavy bushes. kobalt also do a 40v version if you are only going to do lighter work.

The 80v kobalt should give you over an hour run time with a 2ah battery and will fully recharge in around half an hour. It has a 26-inch blade that cuts at 3600 strokes per minute. The handle can rotate and lock at up yo 90 degrees which is handy for difficult and hard to reach places kobalt offer a 5 year warranty and have a good range of other tools to share batteries with. This is a perfect hedge trimmer for hard work and at the price one of the best out there.

Snapper XD 82V MAX 550 CFM Cordless Leaf Blower Kit with 2.0 Battery

My Rating 9/10

This must be the most powerful battery leaf blower available and many have claimed that is has as much power as a gas type blower. It has infinite variable speed, very quiet and lightweight. It has two power settings. Most find that the lower one is more than adequate for grass clippings and light to medium amounts of leaves for a small yard.

I  like this leaf blower because of its convenience and good power. Battery takes maybe 30-45 minutes to charge and is made by briggs and stratton. Some people have complained about defective batteries and new ones are quite expensive but most were happy with their purchase. Overall simple to use and probably the most powerful battery leaf blower on the market at 82 volts.

Makita XBU02PT1 18V X2 (36V) Blower Kit

My Rating 10/10

What can I say about the makita battery leaf blower. I could say what great tools they make or how reliable they are but I will just keep this short other than saying if you can afford it buy it. Very hard to find any bad reviews about Makita and this makita battery leaf blower is another quality product .

This blower takes two 18v batteries so runs at 36v . It scores 4.8 out of 5 on amazons reviews and If you have other makita cordless tools then this would be a great addition. If I really had to find something negative to say maybe it would be the price but you get what you pay for so thats not a negative either.

DEWALT DCBL720P1 20V MAX 5.0 Ah Lithium Ion XR Brushless Blower

My Rating 8/10

This 20v dewalt leaf blower is powerful, well-balanced and easy to use.  Total run time less than 15 minutes at maximum speed. Not a huge deal; the battery charges in under an hour from zero. The included battery is a 5-amp-hour battery is good . A few spare would be better. These devices suck down the juice of a battery pretty quickly so the large capacity helps. Also, DeWalt’s batteries are good compared to some others in how long a charge lasts, and how long the batteries themselves last. A good choice if you have other DeWalt tools. It has a variable speed trigger so you can start at a low speed and ramp it up as needed  The relative quiet and fairly low air velocity don’t mean it won’t take wet leaves and trash off the pavement. I think it is a good blower overall for medium type work around the yard.

Greenworks 40V 185 MPH Variable Speed Cordless Blower Vacuum, 4.0 AH Battery Included 24322

My Rating 6/10

This greenworks battery leaf blower has very mixed reviews from people who purchased it. While it does have a very good blower function the vacuum side tends to let it down as it gets blocked easily with leaves and twigs. There is also customer complaints about a faulty switch and different views on customer care. Even though it scores very well over all the consistency of the poorer reviews on Amazon would suggest that it has some issues. Its also heavy on batteries at full speed but if you already have greenworks batteries from other tool in their line and just need to do a blower for medium work it could still be a good buy.

Greenworks also do a bigger 80v leaf blower HERE which has more power but comes at a higher price for more heavy duty work.

Cordless Leaf Blower – KIMO 20V Lithium 2-in-1 Sweeper/Vacuum

My Rating 9/10

This kimo cordless leaf blower is a small size, lightweight, easy to hold and works great. It might seem too small for some but has plenty power for its size. It also has a vacuum function which could be useful for cars etc . Its practically ready use it right out of the box. I like that it is reasonably priced and comes with a little bag to carry/store it in. There also seems to be a great customer service follow-up on product. Amazon reviews have a score of 4.7 out of 5 stars for this leaf blower. Like other Kimo products this seems like another good product at a reasonable price, Kimo is definitely one to watch as a company making a name for itself.

Kimo Cordless Drill Driver Set w/ 2 Lithium-Ion Batteries, 20 V Hammer Impact drill

My Rating 10/10

Like its little brother this kimo cordless drill is also very good quality excellent value for money. At over double the price and double the power. It produces 660 in lb of torque and is truly awesome, this drill will handle any type of work. Its also got hammer action suitable for concrete. This kimo cordless drill comes with a charger, 2 batteries and a bunch of accessories giving even more value. While the brand is not that well known at the price and warranty it is really putting it up to the competition of the better known more expensive brands .

Kobalt 24-Volt Max Lithium Ion (Li-ion) 1/2-in Cordless Brushless Drill with Battery and Soft Case

My Rating 9/10

This kobalt cordless drill is powerful with plenty of torque and you get charger a 24v battery and a soft case bag. If you are not afraid to try a different drill than better known brands then this would be a good choice. It is also one of the best drills tested for drilling. For the money you get a lot of bang for your buck. Overall it seems like a well made drill with loads of power for almost any kind of work. Unfortunately it does not have a hammer setting which would be useful for drilling concrete.

BLACK+DECKER LDX120C 20V MAX Lithium Ion Drill / Driver

My Rating 7/10

This is one of the cheapest battery drills you can buy and its a good budget that is well suited to the home handyman.  It is light and has plenty positive reviews with a few negative also mainly about build quality and chuck. Its not the drill for a professional tradesman they would want a drill with a little more torque and definitely more drilling speed. Overall if you want a cheap drill for odd jobs around the house go for it. If you want a drill for everyday drilling of steel and stone go for something more expensive.

Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 Inch Compact Drill/Driver (Tool-Only) 2801-20

My Rating 9/10

This Milwaukee cordless 18 volt drill is a very good quality with plenty of power to get the job done. The drill accepts bits to ½ inch unlike some competitive models of the same size that only go to 3/8 inch. In addition, the drill has an led light that activates when the drill is activated. In low-light situations, this illumination assures that the hole is being drilled at the desired location. It is well worth the price especially if you have other tools and batteries from the Milwaukee range.
